Born in Irene. Raised in Hout Bay. Forged everywhere else.

From a South African boarding school to the military as a combat medic, then UKSF selection in 2006. After that came two decades cooking for people who expect perfection at sea, on private islands and in palaces.

In between: jumping out of aircraft for a living, riding where the road runs out, and writing it all down.
